redubbing: five, six, seven, eight

Purist musicologists have suggested I should be more complete:

If I could stick my pen in my heart
And spill it all over the stage?
Would it satisfy ya, would it slide on by ya,
Would you think the girl is strange? Ain't she strange, strange, strange?
If I could win ya, if I could sing ya
A love song so divine:
Would it be enough for your cheatin' heart
If I broke down and cried? If I cried, cried, cried?

If I could stick a knife in my heart:
Suicide right on the stage?
Would it be enough for your teenage lust
Would it help to ease the pain? Ease your brain?
If I could dig deep down in my heart,
Muscle and my blood on the page?
Would it satisfy ya, would it slide on by ya,
Would you think the girl's insane? She's insane, insane ...

I said, I know, it's only rock and roll, but I like it, like it, yes I do.

Gimme Shelter. There wasn't enough, in April. In fact, none at all.

Is that The Crystal Ship arriving out there? After the roadies strike the stage, and before you slip into / unconsciousness ...

Wellll ... if the serious bell is connected to some event in your life, I'm clueless about that...

The lyrics are from Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones, and from Jim Morrison and The Doors. A couple of the original Doors are still touring, and *all* the core Stones are, after 40+ years in rock they are still going strong. Morrison died of a drug overdose in a Paris bathtub in the early 70's, and his girlfriend, who found him, died two years later --- setting off a bitter fight among their two families as to which of them owned the rights [and all the considerable fortunes] to the Doors music, depending on whether they were actually "married" or not, as common-law lovers and partners.

Sooooo....when you figure it out, and if you want to share, please do!
