who could believe

well, sometimes the totally improbable happens: it's the middle of the night and I'm logged in to a computer in a college library lab south of Seattle and I'm sitting right next to Kiota, who is also logged in and fighting with an abortionist [it isn't personal, merely forensic {in a debate sense.}] this is improbable since until very very recently I was frozen in New England and she was baking in the West Bank [seven time zones away instead of three feet.]

furthermore, the inimitable Ms. Kiota has introduced me to new friends, one of whom is in Australia and has a pet longhorn [how she got her out of TX is another story, methinks.]

besides that, I just got three jobs when I was in Texas last week, two connected with my theatre. [The trick seems to be to get a salary connected to the work...]

and this icon is a cathedral window in a temple in Israel which Kiota once photographed. I have been invited to go there, now that she's here. [There's no connection between these, just a coincidence.]

so it is all like seven time zones and 6.1 years of exile in Vermont have evaporated.

the last time I got to the Pacific was an interesting story, as well --- involving a real Judy and a real Ford Fairlane 500 and a real Grand Canyon.

take that, Special Effects Department.

so Kiota poked
So she poked at me and I'm correcting that to read "and this icon is a SYNAGOGUE window in a temple in Israel" ... whatever the building in front of it, the lights are powerful and very pretty and comforting and permanent <3

I'm jealous you got to hang with Kiota IRL...

If only I didn't live clear across the country.

Well ... umm ... up until Feb. 29 >> I << lived clear across the country too. Now I kinda live out of three carrying cases and a laptop bag. *Carries home around on my back like a turtle*

Maybe you can poke Ki to come visit youuuu ? ! ? !

Any way you do it, it's so SO worth the trip. You just gotta stoke yourself up on sleep beforehand!!

There's absolutely no one else in the world like her and you find it out right away irl: all her posts only show you just the tippy top of a very very big, open, and compassionate heart <3 ... besides that, she is SO fun ...
