dance first, think later

That's a quote from Samuel Beckett, who also commented that this is the natural order of things.

It's also on a projection, part of the show called TAPEIRE at the New Vic, 209 W 42nd, they aren't on strike.

This is a one-man solo show by James Devine, backed by Irish musicians, and *sob* they'll close before I can get there: five dates in Miami at the end of this month, December unannounced. Devine holds a world record for taps at 38 of them per second [measured digitally, of course, this must hardly have any audible separations at all, at that speed]. Reviewed in today's NYU Washington Square News.

Darn.

Riverdance has come through NYC more than once, caught it at Radio City with a date, they blew us away. Managed to meet and chat with a couple of them afterwards, outside: juicy accents and bigggggggggg eyes if they were first-timers in the City [like everyone else, I guess]. So much to see in so little time...

EIRE, of course, is the way they spell Ireland over there. At whatever speed.
