Estes Park

It's not a Park at all, the town is a tourist trap with souvenir shops and the Stanley Hotel where Stanley Kubrick filmed "The Shining" with Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall. And an axe. And a foaming fantasy waterfall of blood, pouring out of an elevator shaft after blowing its doors off.

The Hotel is not named for Kubrick lol

This is a long shot through telephoto on a tripod from the Hotel. The tripod is at about 8600 feet [2900 meters] on the ground, already, and you are looking at the mountains through the upland valleys. So they are much higher.

The air is as awesome as the scenery. You should come up here. Before blizzards close the single 2-lane road from town [NW of Boulder about 34 miles [54 Km.]] Unless you have a helicopter with skiis.

Plenty of room for more peeps! Mountain goats toooo.

Don't you know, here in Colorado everybody has a helicopter with skis. We keep them in our backyards instead of swimming pools. :)

And when the pools freeze do you switch to blade runners? :)
