never was a cornflake girl

Inspired by Lotus82 to go way back to 94:

::: ::: ::: ::: ::: :::

"Never was a cornflake girl
thought that was a good solution
hangin' with the raisin girls
she's gone to the other side
givin' us a yo heave ho
things are gettin' kind of gross
and I go at sleepy time

this is not really happening

you bet your life it is
you bet your life it is
honey, you bet your life it is

she knows what's goin' on
we got a cheaper feel now
all the sweet ease are gone
gone to the other side
with my encyclopedia
they musta paid her a nice price
she's puttin' on her string bean love
this is not really happening
you bet your life it is
you bet your life it is
honey, you bet your life it is ...

Maybe a bright sandy beach
is gonna bring you back
maybe not
so now you're off
you're gonna see America
well let me tell you something
about America....
some things are melting now
well what's it gonna take
till my baby's alright?

Lucy was pretty
your best Friend agreed
well, still pretty good year
pretty good."

::: ::: ::: ::: ::: :::

Well, of course, that's all impossible. She was only five on the release date, right?
Absurd. Already been in America. Born here, in fact.

This is not really happening.

I happen to love raisins. Always have. Too much sugar in cornflakes.
And I'm listening as I type this.

Thank you Boesendorfer for for making the best pianos in the world.
[Both of them play a pretty mean piano.]

Thank you Lois. Happiness and a tear.
Pretty Good Year.
